Day With My Daughter

Today was such a wonderful day with my daughter. We spent several hours together which rarely seems to happen any more in our lives since she is married and has children and her own life now. All you mom's out there with little one's, get ready. It truly is an "empty nest" when they spread their wings to go out on their on. You have to watch them make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. They often make the same mistakes more than once. It's a "learnin' thing"....................ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Anyway this was a fantastic day with the only child God blessed me with and I thank him for that.

New American Idol

Yeah for Kris Allen and I helped vote him in. The show was really good, but like always, nerve racking b/c it seems like the winner will never be announced.

AUNT PAULA THINKS KRIS ALLEN ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quote From My Daily Calendar

"God understands our prayers even when we can't find the words to say them" It doesn't say who quoted this, but I really liked it and hoped that some of you who read my blog will enjoy it also. Please continue to pray for me as I battle with depression daily. I admire my babysister soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo mutch!!!!!!! Wish I could be more like her and her husband and children. Just a great family.

IT'S ME AGAIN

Hi There everyone. With the help of my babysister I can now get back on my blog and post. Of course, most of you know I have been quite addicted to this game on facebook and facebook in general. I have met alot of nice ladies who share some of the health problems that I have. Working with my computer everyday has allowed me to have more control with my left hand. Since I am homebound, it also gives me something to do and keeps my mind off having a pity party. I actually have someone here to take me somewhere today. Now that Kim has me fixed, I will post more often........................for now I am off to run some errands.

Love to All Aunt Paula

For those of you keeping up with American Idol........................................KRIS ROCKS........he has been my pick since the beginning.

SNOW

Wow, it's March 1, 2009 and there is snow on the ground. It had not begun to snow when I went off to bed last night, but it was really bright outside this morning, as the snow tends to make things glisten. My background is still okay with the snowmen and children on it. I am still ready for the birds chirping their spring songs, the pretty flowers blooming and trees turning green with my favorite of all seasons is next in line.

I don't post much these days, but will try and do better.

Princess Lakyn Grace

My little "GRAND"daughter. She is approaching the age of 2. With the weather being nice and warm today, her dad raised the windows in the house. Mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The toy box is under the window and yes, you guessed it. She proceeded to knock out the screen and crawl out the window. This was one way of getting outside. Meanwhile, her brother was trying to tell daddy that he was sorry, but sissy................ I live next door and that is where she came knocking on my back door. Her daddy scolded her and said, "you aren't even 2 yet and already trying to sneak out of the house."

No harm done, just a little lump in the throat and scare. That's my little princess. She is always into something. Kinda mischevious.

Aunt Paula's post for the day.

Visiting Konos - February 6, 2009

It is truly amazing to see what those dedicated mother's spend their time preparing and teaching their children Bibilical lessons as well as school lessons. It has been quite some years since I have attened a Konos friday. Konos, for those of you who don't know, is the academic study the homeschool mom's are teaching from. The study they chose for this semester is the states. They started their assembly of the day with The Pledge of Allegiance and O Beautiful. Then there was a reading from the Bible with one of the children reciting the Bible verse for the week. Then tere was a discussion about Paul who wrote letters in the Bible and one of the students (Laura Kate Park) told about Paul and how he became a Christian and began writing. I just can't tell you how awesome it is to see these young They studedpeople from preschoolers and up at work. They studied, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware this week. I observed in the 6-8 year old class, but the most impressive was the older kids class. The older kids molded a Statue of Liberty out of clay. You would not ever see something like this come out of a public school. It took them the entire day, the program begins at 9:30 am and ends about 2:30 pm. Each family brings a food item and they all eat lunch together and have a little free time, although they do things in a structured environment. I attended public school and am very pro-homschooling. Student's learn more from a one on one teaching from their mom. From books to field trips and many other activities

I have known most of these children since birth and have watched them grow through the years. The older girls have grown into young ladies and the older boys into young men. The younger children are following the same pattern. They are all so well-behaved. Most of them know me as Aunt Paula whether I am blood related or not. This thrills me so.

It was such a joy to have many of them come up to me with hugs and kisses. Of course, the boys don't like the kisses, but that is okay. I am just thrilled they know who I am. God works in truly AWESOME ways.

I think everyone shoul visit at least one homeschool co-op group to experience the love those parents have for their children and God. I do plan on visiting again soon. Ya'll get ready. I try not to be disruptive.
